Isabelle Connolly Principal EConPlan
Isabelle has worked as an environmental planner for the private and public sector at an international, state and local level for more than twenty years. She has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Master of Environmental Law from Sydney University as well as a Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (Natural Area Restoration and Management) from Ryde TAFE.
Isabelle has prepared and presented high-level policy, guideline, strategy and planning documents for clients including UNESCO for the World Heritage Committee and the NSW Minister for the Environment on topics such as park plans of management, sea level rise and re-nomination of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area for cultural values.
She also has extensive experience in roles either preparing or assessing environmental impact statements, reviews of environmental factors or environmental management plans for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, the former Office of Environment and Heritage and former Department of Planning. Recently, she prepared review of environmental factors templates for Western Sydney Parklands and Parramatta Park Trust to promote efficiencies in the assessment process.
From 2011 Isabelle spent 4 years working for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service preparing plans of management for regional parks in Sydney as well as in regional areas to ensure the parks were managed in accordance with the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
Since establishing her own consultancy in 2016, Isabelle has undertaken a wide range of interesting projects for high profile government clients and private landowners. Recently she collaborated with landscape design firm Tract to prepare a strategic planning framework for the Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan. She prepared rehabilitation plans for all of North Sydney Council’s bushland reserves and was one of the primary authors of the NSW Government Architect's Bushland and Waterways Guide and Manual that accompanies the draft Greener Places urban green infrastructure policy for NSW.
In 2019 Isabelle prepared a paper for City of Parramatta (CoP) on accelerating delivery of green infrastructure on privately owned land through strategic planning mechanisms. She also progressed the CoP's Urban Canopy Strategy and Green Infrastructure policy. In June 2019, in acknowledgement of her expertise in planning for green infrastructure, Isabelle was invited by the Office of Environment and Heritage to present Integrated Planning for Landscape at their series of workshops for Sydney metro councils to assist them in implementing the district plans using LSPSs, LEPs and DCPs.
Isabelle has sat on expert advisory panels, is a certified Green Flag Award Judge, a Parks and Leisure Australia judge for their national awards and was vice-president of the National Bushcare's Major Day Out to promote volunteering for bushcare.
Isabelle is passionate about promoting green infrastructure, conserving natural and cultural values and preserving them for future generations to enjoy.
Dr Emma McIntyre
Director EMap Consulting
Dr Emma McIntyre is the Director and Principal Consultant of Environmental Mapping and Planning (EMAP Consulting) with a Bachelor Environmental Science (Hons) from the University of Wollongong 1998 and a PhD (GIS) from the University of Wollongong 2007.
Emma has 20 years’ experience working as an environmental scientist in both the government and private sectors. EMAP Consulting provides specialist environmental assessment and GIS support services to a range of clients including government agencies, private companies and community groups. She has proven experience in spatial analytics, visualisation and webmaps. Emma also provides a wide range of GIS and environmental planning and assessment services including high quality map products, data compilation and management, data query and spatial analysis and remote sensing capabilities.
Rebecca Peacock
Director Rebecca Peacock Consulting
Rebecca has twenty-three years’ experience working in sustainability, natural resource and environmental management and twenty-one years in local and state government. She has a thorough understanding of the workings of local, state and national government and the delivery of government policy and programs. She also has extensive stakeholder management and consultation experience and significant local government planning experience, involving the development of objectives and clauses for Local Environment Plans and Development Control Plans and key strategic plans. Rebecca also has a thorough understanding of GBCA Green Star, NABERS and BASIX design and building performance rating tools and processes.
Qualifications
Rebecca has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Applied Physical Geography, majored in Biology and Ecology from the University of New South Wales 1994, and a Certificate in Bushland Regeneration Northern Sydney Institute Ryde College TAFE, 1995
